  • Sermon Reflection Questions & Sermon Outline​

    • At Babel the people said, “Let us make a name for ourselves,” but God told Abram, “I will make your name great.” Where do you notice the Babel instinct of building your own name, security, or reputation at work in your daily life, and what would it look like to receive your identity from God as a gift instead?

    • Genesis 12:2 says God blesses Abram “so that you will be a blessing.” What blessing has God given you that you’ve been tempted to treat as a stopping point, and who is one person within your reach this week that blessing could move toward?

    • Paul says in Galatians 3:8 that Genesis 12:3 was the gospel preached beforehand to Abraham, and in 3:16 that the promised offspring is Christ. How does seeing Jesus at the center of the promise change the way you understand both your own blessing and your reason for sharing it?

  • ​Grace United Reformation Celebration & Praise Night​​

    • Join us on Saturday, October 31, from 4:00–6:30 PM for our annual Reformation Celebration! This year, Pastor Peter will lead an all-age friendly special teaching on “Triple Imputation” as we reflect on the wonderful truths of the Reformation and the gospel of Jesus Christ. We’ll also enjoy dinner and a time of praise together. Children’s goody bags will be available!

    • For all ages- youth and adults. Invite friends and neighbors!

  • Youth Sunday School

    • Youth Sunday School at 9:30AM is finishing the last lesson of the fall quarter this Sunday. The new winter quarter begins next week in November.​

    • Our church is transitioning to a new Google Workspace. During this process, you will begin receiving emails from church leadership using new “@graceunitedoc.org” email addresses instead of “@graceunitedopc.org.”

  • Every 2nd Sunday: Come & Consider, Childcare, and Fellowship Meal​​ 

    • Come and Consider Sundays

      • Come and Consider Sundays will take place during regular second Sunday service: “Come now, let us reason together,” says the Lord (Isaiah 1:18).

      • If you know someone who's curious about church or beginning to explore faith, second Sundays are a great Sunday to invite them to Grace United. After worship, stay for a relaxed Q&A with the pastor, a chance to ask honest questions about faith, life, and God and then enjoy a meal with the church in the Fellowship Hall.

    • Come and Consider Childcare 

      • On second Sundays, our student leaders will provide activities for the littles (preschool-grade 2) inside the Education Center after worship so that parents may participate in the Come and Consider Q/A.

      • At the end of announcements, our student leaders and Student Leader Advisor will walk the children to the Education Center. Parents may pick up their children from the Education Center at the end of the Come and Consider Q/A.

    • Monthly Fellowship Meal 

      • After the Come and Consider Q/A, please join us for the monthly fellowship meal. We hope that providing this monthly meal will help us be more intentional about inviting friends, neighbors, and families to church, especially on second Sundays. These services are designed with newcomers in mind, with a more simply explained liturgy, followed by a Come & Consider Q&A and a fellowship meal.

      • Please prayerfully consider who you might invite to worship with us, to ask honest questions, and to hear the good news of Jesus Christ in a welcoming setting.

  • Every Last Saturday: Monthly All Church Praise Night & Youth Group​​

    • Everyone is warmly invited to come sing praise together on the last Saturday of each month! This joyful evening of worship takes place during our monthly Youth Group meeting, and our students would love to lift their voices alongside the rest of our multigenerational church family. All ages are welcome- bring your family and join us!

    • Afterward, you’re welcome to stay for the youth group study (for students in grades 6-12) or head out together for dinner at one of the many nearby spots. Come sing, connect, and enjoy fellowship across generations!

    • Siblings of Youth Group are invited to play some fun board games with Teacher Nayeon while the Youth Group meets for their study with Teacher Chang 

    • Next Praise Night & Youth Group: Saturday, October 31 at 4PM
