We warmly invite you to read the Bible with our church family again this year using the updated 2026 Bible Reading Plan. Whether you’re just starting or returning to a regular rhythm, this plan offers a simple way to spend time in Scripture and read through the Bible in a year. Come grow with us as God shapes our hearts through His Word.

Sermon Reflection Questions
-
When have you experienced a season where it appeared that evil or suffering was winning, but later saw God's wise providence at work? How does Gethsemane help reshape your perspective today?
-
Peter reached for a sword because he believed God's kingdom needed his strength. What "swords" are Christians tempted to reach for today (control, anxiety, anger, reputation, manipulation, self-reliance)? Which one do you most struggle with, and what would trusting Christ instead look like?
-
Jesus could have called twelve legions of angels but willingly chose the cross. What does Christ's voluntary submission teach us about the depth of his love and the nature of true power? How does this encourage you in your own suffering?
-
Jesus was treated as a criminal so guilty sinners could go free. How should the doctrine of substitution shape both our assurance of salvation and the way we respond to those who have sinned against us?

Second Sundays at GUOPC: Come & Consider, Childcare, and Fellowship Meal
-
Come and Consider Sundays
-
Come and Consider Sundays will take place during regular second Sunday service: “Come now, let us reason together,” says the Lord (Isaiah 1:18).
-
If you know someone who's curious about church or beginning to explore faith, second Sundays are a great Sunday to invite them to Grace United. After worship, stay for a relaxed Q&A with the pastor, a chance to ask honest questions about faith, life, and God and then enjoy a meal with the church in the Fellowship Hall.
-
-
Come and Consider Childcare
-
On second Sundays, our student leaders will provide activities for the littles (preschool-grade 2) inside the Education Center after worship so that parents may participate in the Come and Consider Q/A.
-
At the end of announcements, our student leaders and Student Leader Advisor will walk the children to the Education Center. Parents may pick up their children from the Education Center at the end of the Come and Consider Q/A.
-
-
Monthly Fellowship Meal
-
After the Come and Consider Q/A, please join us for the monthly fellowship meal. We hope that providing this monthly meal will help us be more intentional about inviting friends, neighbors, and families to church, especially on second Sundays. These services are designed with newcomers in mind, with a more simply explained liturgy, followed by a Come & Consider Q&A and a fellowship meal.
-
Please prayerfully consider who you might invite to worship with us, to ask honest questions, and to hear the good news of Jesus Christ in a welcoming setting.
-
Please sign up to help provide a meal in 2026 (Dec is available)
