Sermon Reflection Questions
-
In this passage, why do the religious leaders struggle with Jesus’ authority, and how does their response to John the Baptist reveal what is really going on in their hearts?
-
The first son changes his mind and obeys, while the second son speaks well but does nothing. How does this distinction help us think biblically about repentance and obedience, not just intentions or words?
-
Jesus says that tax collectors and prostitutes enter the kingdom ahead of the religious leaders. What does this teach us about grace, humility, and who receives God’s kingdom?

Come and Consider Q/A on Second Sundays at GUOPC- January 11, 2026

Come and Consider Sundays will take place during regular second Sunday service: “Come now, let us reason together,” says the Lord (Isaiah 1:18).
-
If you know someone who's curious about church or beginning to explore faith, second Sundays are a great Sunday to invite them to Grace United. After worship, stay for a relaxed Q&A with the pastor, a chance to ask honest questions about faith, life, and God.
